Verification
Easy to use safety tools for merchants & users
Helio provides merchant verification for both creators and businesses.
For Creators:
- Log in to the Helio dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings → Merchant Settings.
- Select Creator as the type.
- Link your X (Twitter) account.
- Complete verification through Sumsub.
For Businesses:
- Go to Settings → Merchant Settings.
- Select Business.
- Fill in necessary fields.
- Complete verification with Persona.
These verification steps help establish merchant credibility, enhancing user trust.

Verified merchants on Helio display a "Verified" badge at checkout, while unverified merchants trigger a warning for buyers, enhancing transaction security and trust.

Wallet Transparency
For unverified merchants, users can look up the recipient wallet address in real-time from the Helio checkout page with a single click on the Recipient badge to check the trustworthiness of the merchant.
Report a suspicious link
Report suspicious links directly from the checkout page or in our Discord. Our security team monitors and blacklists risky links and wallets 24/7.
Sanctioned countries & wallets
Helio blocks access from sanctioned countries and wallets using a mix of geo-IP, lists and heuristics.
Pay Link authentication
Helio offers various Access Controls options including Discord SSO and gating. This helps merchants lock down payments to a targeted and intended customer audience.
Unique URLs (aka slugs)
Merchants can use unique URLs such as hel.io/x/Customername to help customers recognise that the Pay Link belongs to them.
Payment disputes / refunds
For refunds, contact the merchant directly; they can issue refunds via the Helio dashboard. Helio is a decentralised protocol, meaning funds transfer directly from users to merchants, secured by blockchain and irreversible. Before purchasing on Helio Pay Links, verify the merchant’s trustworthiness using our safety features.
